Crowns and dentures

Removable denture

A restoration that replaces several teeth or a whole arch and comes out of the mouth.

What it is

A removable denture replaces several missing teeth or all the teeth in an arch, and comes out for cleaning. A partial denture clips to the remaining teeth; a full denture rests on the gum and the bone beneath.

When it suits

When many teeth are missing, as a stop-gap before fixed work, or when implants aren't an option. It can also be held by two to four implants, so it sits much more securely.

How it works here

A few visits for impressions and try-ins, then adjustments in the first weeks until it no longer presses. A denture needs check-ups and, every few years, a reline, because the bone changes. Settling in, step by step, in The first weeks with a denture.
